Our single day private programs

All our tours include a private driverguide with an appropriate vehicle. The daytours are designed to start and finish in the capital but can also be combined into a custom tour program. Specified stops will be made for lunch and coffee. We drive out of Reykjavík at 9:30 pm and head for the best viewing locations in conditions where we are not disturbed by the city light reflections nor obscuring clouds. We spend the time from 9 to 12 approximately, which is the time of the night with highest probability of the dancing lights appearing!

 

The main pearls of Iceandic nature visited in a day trip of around 8 hours. From the stunning fissures of Parliament fields of Thingvellir where the Vikings founded their democratic parliament, the Althing. To the Geysir area with the erupting Strokkur hotspring and colorful bubbling pools. Then the powerful cascade of Gullfoss, Icelands most iconic waterfall and one of the most powerful in Europe.

Explore the volcanic peninsula of Reykjanes the UNESCO listed geopark. See the Krýsuvík hot springs, sulfurus mud pools and colorful mineral deposits, vast lava fields and the picturesque Reykjanes lighthouse. Visit the characteristic fishing villages of the area and enjoy Iceland’s best fried fish for lunch. Then have a relaxing dip in the Blue Lagoon with its glowing blue waters.

Visit the Peninsula of Snæfellsnes, the setting of Jules Vernes’ Journey to the Center of the Earth. The charming birdlife and stunning volcanic rock formations of Arnarstapi and the holy mountain of Kirkjufell, the worlds most photographed mountain. With unforgettable mountains, lava fields and a glacier, on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula you can get the real Iceland experience.

 

This tour takes you along the lush south lowlands and black sand beaches, magnificent glaciers and mountainous cliffs. Hike onto Sólheimajökull glacier and walk across the blue ice with our experienced guide. Visit the endless black sand beach of Reynisfjara with massive basalt pillars protruding into the Atlantic Ocean.
