We drive out of Reykjavík at 9:30 pm and head for the best viewing locations in conditions where we are not disturbed by the city light reflections nor obscuring clouds. We spend the time from 9 to 12 approximately, which is the time of the night with highest probability of the dancing lights appearing!
Our guides have access to various information such as solar radiation forecasts and cloud cover radar forecasts. Many factors come into play when hunting for the perfect northern lights, such as moonlight, cloud cover, and solar wind strength. With years of experience in finding the perfect spot to see the spectacle you’ll be in good hands with us.
